The April Tree had two fantastic gigs the past two nights!

Thursday 19th we played Manchester Lane in the heart of Melbourne, along with Brett Goldsmith and Belle Roscoe. We played a 12 song set, starting with Fifty Million Voices and finishing with Couldn't This Be, both from our debut EP which was available for the first time that night :)

Friday 20th we journeyed down to Hastings to play the Westernport Festival, playing off the back of a truck as the festival goers made their way among the rides, and the flame at the nearby Westernport gas line shone like the mother of all cigarette lighters.

The April Tree have been busy recording their latest single 'The Promise' and working on lots of new songs and ideas. They are looking forward to gigging at Manchester Lane, Melbourne on the 19th February 2009, and the following night headlining the Hastings Festival.

Listen to 'The Promise' online, support the band on myspace or facebook, and see you at the gigs!

The band is currently putting the finishing touches on the extensive catalogue of songs, and all three members are very excited at having Charles Fisher (Hoodoo Gurus, Savage Garden) and Sam Panetta (Kisschasy) lending their production talents.

Meanwhile, the band is showcasing its music, reminiscent of Jeff Buckley, John Mayer and Maroon 5, in an entertaining live show which features plenty of interplay among band members both during and between songs, and entrances audiences of both regulars and also casuals who come to 'have a look' and invariably end up staying, then returning the next week.
